In my three years here at TiP, I’ve never known so many designers take to their creative suites to create their idea of the perfect version of iOS, or at least, specific features within the iPhone’s operating system. There’s seemingly at least one or two new concepts every week, and all of them – in one way or another – provide a tempting option. So,
It’s important to note – as some have a tendency to be easily misled – concepts do not mean that Apple is working on any of these. The concept mockups are always designed by people without any inside knowledge of Apple. Some may be going on rumors and putting their own twist on things
. But, there’s an almost 100% chance that you won’t see any of this make it to official iOS. However, every now and then, the really good ones get grabbed by developers and designers and are transformed in to fantastic jailbreak tweaks and themes. It’s how the popular Auxo tweak started off: as a concept on a forum. So, you never know, your favorite one might make it to Cydia.
